You may register at East side Mario’s on Stone Road in Guelph on one of three Saturdays in Sept

2.What is the age group for Steve Nash Youth Basketball?
In general, the target age group for Steve Nash Youth Basketball is 5-13.
However, since age is not the best way to categorize young people for a developmental experience,
the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program may be adopted to accommodate participant who’re younger or older.
3.How do I become a volunteer coach and what kind
of qualifications do I need?
To become a volunteer coach in the Guelph Steve Nash Youth Basketball program,
will need to attend one of the program registrations listed above or go to our web site and
complete a Steve Nash coaches application form and mail it in. You will then be contacted for
further evaluations and training. No basketball experience is required, as all coaches
involved with the program will have the opportunity to partake in a New NCCP Community
Coach on-court workshop (3 hours). This will serve as the initial step (training) towards
attaining a full NCCP certification. All coaches will also be provided with the
Official Steve Nash Youth Basketball Coaches Manual that features teaching tips,
drills and sample lesson plans.
