GYBA works toward New Gymnasium

The Guelph Youth Basketball Association has partnered with the Wellington Catholic District School Board to build an enhanced gymnasium at St. Ignatius of Loyola Elementary School, which is scheduled to open in the south end of Guelph in the fall of 2010. In return for building a high-school sized gym floor and granting GYBA exclusive rights to rent the facility four days per week, we will be donating the money required to install glass backboards, a wooden floor, a score clock and build a storage facility for our use. Getting sufficient access to bigger and better quality gymnasiums has proven to be problematic over the past 3 seasons, so this arrangement is an important step to satisfy our ongoing and increasing need for facilities.
