Registration for the 2025/2026 Season

Junior Gryphon Development Program Registration is OPEN!


OPENING DAY IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2025 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH GRYPHONS ATHLETIC CENTRE.


Opening day is an opportunity for all players to collect their swag, meet GYBA's leadership and board of directors, and meet their coaches and fellow players! Please join us on Saturday, October 18th between 9:30 - 11:30am at the University of Guelph Gryphons Athletic Centre located at 50 E Ring Rd on campus in Guelph. Official Junior Gryphon Development sessions begin on Saturday, October 25th.

Important Information for the 2025/2026 Season

1What is the fee for the 2025/2026 season and what does it include?
The fee for the season is $195 and will include a t-shirt or jersey and a basketball. Please note: All refunds are subject to a $35 administrative fee.
2What is the time and length of the session?
The exact time of each session is available in the Teamsnap registration page (link below). These times are subject to change depending on availability of gyms. The program will run from mid-October until March 2026 for a total of 14-16 weeks, depending on gym availability. Final locations and times will be posted in late September.
3What day of the week will each session run?
Sessions run weekly on Saturday mornings.
4What do I do if my child is receiving funding from the Children's Foundation?
If your child is receiving funding from the Children's Foundation, please complete the registration and then email treasurer@guelphbasketball.com to advise.
5What to do if I am interested in coaching?
We are always looking for new coaches! If you are interested in becoming a GYBA coach, please contact us at development@guelphbasketball.com and administration@guelphbasketball.com.
6What program do you follow?
We will be working to create our own curriculum based off the Jr. NBA curriculum and Long-Term Athlete Development Model. New this year, we will be running a house league for ages 10U and up. Games/Scrimmages will be played in the younger age groups but will focus on greater skill development.
