About the GYBA Jr. Gryphons Development Program

The Jr. Gryphon Development Program, formally known as Hustle House League, has been Guelph's local recreational basketball program for youth and teens for over 25 years. The Development Program features a number of age groups starting at 5 year of age up to 18 years of age. The program focuses on skill development and learning the fundamentals of basketball.

  • Runs Every Saturday for 16 weeks from October to the end of February
  • Co-Ed 5 to 6 Features 1 Hour Long Sessions
  • Age Groups 7 and Up Feature 1.5 Hour Long Sessions
  • Cost for Each Participant is $140
  • Each Athlete will Receive a Reversible Jersey to Keep

Free Summer Clinics

Beginning in July, GYBA regularly offers Toonie Tuesdays Open Gym at College Heights Secondary School.

Times are as follows:

College Heights
6:30 - 7:30 - boys and girls age 8 to 10
7:30 - 8:30 - boys and girls age 11 to 13
8:30 - 9:30 - boys and girls over 13

Open to all youth residents of the city of Guelph.

A donation of $2/player/night is recommended but not necessary. All proceeds go towards the GYBA Hoop Help Fund, providing financial assistance to youth in need wanting to play basketball in Guelph.
